finding the current

May what I do flow from me like a river,

no forcing and no holding back,

the way it is with children

I had a friend unsubscribe from my blog list today.  It was because of the political content.  She did not want to read it in the morning in her inbox.  I get that.  We are inundated, we are overwhelmed, we are disturbed, we are invaded by the news.  Aall of that is heightened exponentially during election season.  i am not exempt.

The day of the second debate, I was so skittery and amped up I could hardly function.  Not a good thing.  So I have decided not to politicize in the blog anymore.  I am going on the road to work for the president.  I will be in New Hampshire for two weeks.  But what I will be reporting will not be political, or at least not partisan.

The challenge I am giving myself is to sit with the turbulence, to find little moments of grace, to witness and write from the heart.  Come along.

  1. Hi Paula–Stan’s been a regular up in NH for the past month, going door to door every weekend. I’m on the phone circuit myself. Nov. 1st we go to Ohio thru voting day…hopefully to leave there with a wide grin and sigh of relief.

When do you go to NH? Where will you be staying?

I actually loved your writing about horse sense and body language…but maybe you’d expect that!!

    xoxo

    • I am in NH now – just arrived. I am working out of the Laconia office, which I did in 2008. Belknap County is I think the most conservative in NH. Thank you for OH!!!!!
I will be writing more on movement and politics. Other stuff too, I am sure.
      xoP
