My friend, the filmmaker, Alla Kovgan, sent me this video. There are things that I like a great deal about it, but oddly, the horses feel as if they are missing. Nevertheless, I felt it worth a share.
I am interested: what do you see? What do you feel?
Spooky, caged in. Three would have been more magical. I wanted to unlock the gate and set them free. I don’t know, when I think of horses I think of wind, tossing manes and twitching tails. There was no air in the room – so I could not complete my story in the art. Is that too harsh? Or maybe that was what they were going for.
I have to agree. As a dancer, the uni-dimensionality of it gave me the pip.
